The Baltimore Love Project is an esteemed mural project that lives in the streets of Baltimore. Michael Owen, a local artist, expresses the universal sentiment of love through the simple and relatable silhouettes of hands spelling out the word ‘love’, as a gesture to connect people and communities across the city.

The project is releasing a book to be distributed to schools across the city, and I was honored to design a promotional piece for the book. I decided to create a double-sided poster so that recipients could not only hang the poster as a collectible item, but get a sneak peak of the book’s introduction on the back. It was printed on newsprint and mimics the aesthetic of a newspaper to reference the accessibility of the project, its murals and its message, much like newspapers are a universally accessible source of information, found too throughout the streets of Baltimore.
